It's Christmas Time!!!!

Well, as you can see I haven't written since Thanksgiving because...well...December is the craziest month for The Pike Family!!! From Cantata practices, weekend sings, Christmas shopping (and yes we were the crazy ones out at 5am the day after Thanksgiving), work, Christmas parties, wrapping presents, decorating
picking out trees,

decorating trees,

and holiday baking, to Christmas Cantata's

(with special guest Babbie Mason!),

celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior & spending time with the ones we love!! Even though we were beyond busy we enjoyed being together as a family!!
Jonathan has continued to grow leaps and bounds! He is 15 months old now and has a vocabulary of about a 2 year old!! We were putting up decorations one day and I was casually telling him about Santa (to what a 15 month old can understand)...well about an hour later when I was changing him he pointed to a Santa in his room and said "tanta"!! And so, of course, we had to go get our picture taken with "tanta"!

Every year our church has a candle light service at 11:00 pm Christmas Eve that our family attends as a tradition! And every year our pastor baptizes on Christmas morning (12:00am) which is awesome!! This year he had the opportunity to baptize over 50 people!! What a testimony and memory to be able to be baptized on Christmas morning!! That is something you will never forget! =) We also take the opportunity to get a family picture around our church's huge tree on Christmas morning (12:00am)!!!

Merry Christmas from "The Pike Family"

Happy Thanksgiving & 14 months old

Thanksgiving is the appointed time for focusing on the good in our lives. In each of our days, we can find small blessings, but too often we overlook them, choosing instead to spend our time paying attention to problems. We give our energy to those who cause us trouble instead of those who bring peace. Starting now, let’s be on the look out for the bits of pleasure in each hour, and appreciate the people who bring love and light to everyone who is blessed to know them. You are one of those people. On Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for you.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Here turkey, turkey, turkey!!! Hehe!

Our Family Thanksgiving 2009!

All full from dinner!

Giving us a mini concert!

"Now how do you work this thing?!?!" LOL

WE LOVE LEFTOVERS!!!!!

Jonathan is also 14 months old now!! It couldn't be a more perfect time with the weather starting to become a little more agreeable for outside play!! I am very fortunate to be able to take Jonathan to work with me and with that he gets to run on 3 acres!! A little boys dream!!! Here are a couple of cute pics of him outside at work!

Oh, and did I mention he LOVES his Opa?!?! ;)

Camping, Birthday Parties, Happy Halloween and 13 Months!

WOW is about all I can say with how busy we have been this October (hence why I am writing this post mid November!! Haha!)!!! It is definitely preparing us for the months to come with Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner!! We started off the month going camping with our Sunday School class from FBC which was a first for me and Jonathan! Jonny grew up camping so he was an old pro! We had a great time and made some wonderful memories as it was our first time as a family camping as well! =) And, I have to say it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! We went hiking one of the days to a place called "Cow Camp". Jonathan fell asleep just before we got there which was a bummer but it was still fun! Hehe! What can I say...I'm a city girl but I LOVED it!!
We also celebrated Miss Lila Kate Martin's 1st Birthday!! She had a costume party on Halloween and we had a great time on a 90 degree hay ride (Haha!) and watching Lila eat cake and open her presents!!!! And yes, they are already swapping spit!! LOL It has been wonderful watching Jonathan and Lila grow together as they are only a couple of months apart in age!
Later that night we had my parents and some great friends over for dinner and trick-or-treating. We dressed Jonathan up as "Nemo" and I know I'm partial but he was the cutest kid on the block!! He's a pro at walking and has become quite the talker and singer...I am excited to say the least! He has also become Opa's big helper and LOVES to ride on all of his equipment!! Hehe!

And last but not least he can finally ride on his "rocky horse" without assistance. So cute!!
